NSS Information and Intelligence are providing insight into social care pathways, identifying where improvements can be made. We’re involved in developing new national data with local needs at the core of our services - this includes improving local access to national information and the quality of this data.
We’re also responsible for developing analytics on key national priorities such as emergency admissions, delayed discharges and care homes. This has many benefits including:
- linking individual level health and social care data together to increase its scope and use
- improving information expertise at local level by working alongside staff in partnerships
- sharing expertise in analysis and data management with partnership staff.
Partnerships can access information via the NSS Source platform to support local needs assessment as part of locality and partnership level planning. We’re also providing direct support to a wide range of local priority projects through the NSS Local Intelligence Support team. The team provides training and support to increase awareness of how information can be used and increased awareness of good information management practice.
There’s lots happening – so if you are attending, why not visit us on the NSS stand at the NHSScotland event this year, to find out more about the work that NSS Information and Intelligence have been doing to support integration information needs across Scotland?
