Sustainable economic growth

In the last financial year NSS has spent a total of £30m with Scottish-based businesses.

We’re committed to supporting Scottish business in the current economic climate by paying bills quicker.

In 2014/15 we paid 91.4 % of all invoices within 10 days.

We employ approximately 3,400 specialised staff. They are based in locations across Scotland, including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness, Dundee and Livingston.

Efficiency statement

NSS has a responsibility to be as efficient as possible.

In the financial year 2014/15, we exceeded the 3% efficient government target.

Our total efficiencies over the same period were £12.5m, against the target of £8.5m.

Additionally, we contributed £35.2m in savings for NHS Scotland in 2014/15.
