Practice Managers, practitioners working as an assistant, Body Corporate assistant (unless normal GDS list number held) or Vocational Dental Practitioner, cannot apply for an online account.
Step 1 Accessibility
Reports are only accessible over NHS Scottish Wide Area Network (SWAN), this can be accessed either via direct SWAN connection for dentists without broadband, or via CAT 20/Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections for those with their own broadband.
If you have your own broadband connection and an NHS provided firewall in your practice, settings need to be added to each computer on which you wish to view your reports. If you can access the following web site: www.bo.scot.nhs.uk/BOE/BI the settings have already been added to your computer.
If you are unable to access the web site, please contact your NHS Board dental Information Technology (IT) facilitator, who will add the necessary settings to allow access.Find your local IT facilitator

Step 2 Setting up
There are two levels of access.
Eligible dentists will have access to their own payment reports for each list number they own. They are required to complete Part 2 of the online access form.
This is only available to the eSchedule contact, who must be an eligible dentist at the practice. The other dentists at the practice must give authorisation, to allow access to reports relating to their individual list numbers, at that practice only.
The eSchedule contact is required to complete part 3 of the online access form. As they will also have access to reports relating to their own list numbers, they are not required to complete part 1.
Step 3 Online access forms
There are 3 occasions when you will be required to submit an online access form.
Please note that if these forms are not completed in full, or incorrect information is provided, they will be returned. Forms can be submitted via email or post. Details are at the bottom of each form.
Initial practice registration

Change to eSchedule Contact
If you require a change to the eSchedule contact within your practice, all eligible dentists in the practice must complete this form to authorise the change, including the eSchedule contact. Additional dentists joining the practice
We require notification of any additional dentists joining the practice. If the dentist comes from another practice and has online access already, we still require a form to be submitted. They will not receive new log on details. What happens next
Once your online access has been set up you will receive two emails. These will come from ‘csd email@example.com ‘ or ‘noreply firstname.lastname@example.org
The first email will contain your username and the second will contain a temporary password. You will need to change the password and a link in the second email will direct you to where you can do this.
