Commitment payments

Dentists who carry out NHS general dental services receive a quarterly reward based on the Commitment payment criteria.

How are Commitment payments made?

Once applied for and accepted, there is no need to claim again. Payments are calculated automatically against the criteria set by the Statement of Dental Remuneration (SDR) .

Dentists who think they are due to be paid Commitment payments should complete a Commitment payment mandate and send it to the Dental payments team. 

Commitment payment mandates, DPD 288 forms, GP224 forms and GP232 forms can be submitted by email to
