Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

Electronic Data Interchange, via the NHS Scottish Wide Area Network (SWAN), provides your practice with electronic claim submission. It also provides internet access and simple, easy to manage, schedule payment reconciliation and correction of rejected claims.

All general dental practices can be set up with the NHS SWAN service.  This provides electronic claim submission and internet access, plus simple, easy-to-manage, schedule payment reconciliation and correction of rejected claims.

Please note, new dentists joining an existing EDI location will need an EDI personal identification number (PIN).
